  1. The Boxing Announcer sketch was freakin' brilliant. I'm glad for the return of Hugh Huxley, as well.

Dope podcast to say the least... or the most in Will-I-Am's words.

    1. Phew, that's a relief. I was a bit concerned that I wouldn't be able to pull off the voice. Thanks to Mark for being my foil on that sketch!

  2. I loved the Will.I.Am sketch. That "Will.I.Ass and Will.I.Arms" line was gold.

My feedback: you should spend a few bucks and get a pop filter. Then you won't have those hard Ps and hard Bs leaving loud pops. I mention it because my computer sound system has a subwoofer, so it's particularly booming. I've got a pop filter on my mic, and it works wonders.

Speaking of which, if you need a voice or a sketch (or both) for the next podcast, you let me know. I do a killer American accent! (You know, being American and all)

    1. Thanks. I probably do need a better microphone. Those letters probably sound harder because I'm increasing the volume by nearly 50% in Audacity for my speech. Despite speaking loudly into the microphone from no distance at all, it still sounds really quiet. I'll have to have a look at a pop filter, but I doubt I'll be getting one before the next podcast. Thanks for the tip!

Also, if you have a sketch you want to contribute, then feel free to do so. I'll contact you via email!

    2. I use a sock (clean one) instead of a pop filter. Not quite as perfect as a proper bit of kit but it does help - AND if you use Bold 2 in 1 you are breathing in summer freshness which is something I don't think pop filters offer (although i am no expert in this matter).

  3. It's finally my debut o the fabulous MFJ podcast! Although it's not like we had to wait too long seeing how it was episode two. I had fun doing this and I love the end result so yeah, do let me know if there's ever anything else I can do again.

  4. Is the process for getting on the podcast involve a casting couch type of situation?

    1. Nope. People tell me they're interested, then I send them an email and set something up. There aren't auditions or anything. Are you interested?

  5. Well done again chaps, I am impressed again, in fact I think it feels a little more professional, a bit of the old radio four alternative comedy show about it, (I like R4 alternative comedy so don't cry).

I cant offer my deep crusty Barry White voice because I don't have one, not after the incident with the wicker chair and the Stanley knife.

    Keep up the good work.

    1. Thanks. I think I'm getting the hang of it now, plus I made it a little shorter as you suggested.

  6. I would like to challenge announcer Jim to a dinner party. I am currently undefeated.

  7. Good thing I haven't had children yet. Otherwise I'd have to commit infanticide.

    1. Hahaha, I'm sure Predictatron wouldn't mind if you committed infanticide anyway.

  9. Addman, my good...man? Hm... This is the mic for you, sir. It's fantastic. It's one of two kinds I use and it never fails. Plus, it works with Audacity. It's cheap, clear, concise and reliable. Though, you'll still need a pop filter. You can make one of those yourself with a wire coat hanger and nylon stockings.

    1. Well, it would seem that I fouled up posting a link. Color me 50 Shades of Retarded.

This is a link to mic I was talking about in the previous comment.

    3. You should make your own, you could use an embroidery hoop instead of a coat hanger and so simple - i should take my own advice! Loved the announcer bit too. the wine expert distracted my braini when he said skelington instead of skeleton and thats all i could think of during the last scene - well that and other words that people pronounce "wrongly" - as in differently to me! lol But I liked it and was amused by you getting tortured again, hehe.

  10. Such a lot of awesome advice. Thanks everyone! I think these are slowly improving in terms of editing, and I'm glad that a lot of you like them. I was only going to do 3 episodes, but I've already extended it to 6. Cheers.
