Big thank yous to the following people for lending their vocal talents to episode 1:
Kate N - The Suddenly Kate Show: For providing the voice for the naked house warming sketch
Bumferry Hogart - Thoughtless Gibberish: For providing the voice of Hugh Huxley, the drunken wine coinesseur.
Chiz - Chiz Chat: For providing the voice of James, the customer service rep.
Look out for more vocal work from other amazing Bloggers in future episodes. I look forward to any feedback you can give me so that I can improve these podcasts in the future.
Thank you all.
Damn, Bumferry's voice acting was incredible. The whole thing was utterly hilarious. I loved the house warming sketch and the BBC announcer. Great job putting the whole thing together, Addman! Looking forward to future podcasts! Hopefully I'll be able to find my microphone so I don't have to bury my face into my computer and shout into the little hole.
ReplyDeleteBury your face in a little hole? Sounds like a good time to me.
DeleteThanks for contributing, and I'm glad you liked the end product :)
YEY ME! haha. Not had a chance to listen to it yet but if anyone wants my autograph I will helping Lenny Henry move house this weekend. He's been kicked of ANOTHER premier Lodge for jumping on the beds....
DeleteWell done Addman. This time next year you will be on the Beeb I'm sure.
I was all like "Oh yes this is finally out!" and then I saw it wasn't the one I was in. Ah well, it was still good. You're really getting around if you have sketches to spare.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, you'll be in episode 2 I promise. Thanks again for your input!
DeleteWell done all this high tech speaking voice is very impressive indeed. If I was going to be critical about anything I would say I can see advantages in splitting it down into smaller sections as here in cyberspace 20 mins is like ages, really ages and I can flash through a million web sites in 20 minutes eat my dinner and shout at the cat. No hang on it was shout at a million cats eating my dinner.
ReplyDeleteWell done one and all I was amused and impressed, it was like watching Z cars all over again.
Of course I am a bit of a words man myself even if I cant type or spell so I plan to remain old school with my trusty quill and ink.
And I am keeping my clothes on until it warms up.
Yes I did consider smaller episodes. I decided that I wanted to make it worth the wait, so I made the episode longer. If people prefer shorter episodes, let me know and I'll consider changing the length.
DeleteStill, sounds like you liked it, so that's good enough for me!
Am listening to it now. The BBC audio guy is brilliant "Loads of people can hear you RIGHT NOW mum!" hahahahaha....
ReplyDeleteThank you! It just strikes me that a lot of shows require the visual aspect to actually work. Simply trying to describe something on screen isn't going to cut it. It's a little bit like radio presenters who do things like getting strippers into the studio. What's the point? You can't see what's going on.
